The Private Zone
For VÚB bank, we have developed a web application eliminating multiple visit of a bank branch during the loan granting process for SME segment clients. With required forms filled, a client can provide the bank with all information needed for loan processing comfortably, directly from his office, what leads to saving of clients´ time as well as time of bank employees.
Thanks to the implementation of the private zone, pro-customer oriented VÚB bank provides higher comfort for its clients and makes communication with clients much more efficient.
Process Mining is an innovative form of process management, which enables the analysis of corporate processes based on recorded incidents stored in corporate information systems. The main idea of the Process mining is to reveal the real and existing status of corporate processes in comparison with how they were originally defined. Based on these new findings, it´s possible to design actions leading to desired status of corporate processes or enrich originally defined processes with newly acquired knowledge.
For VÚB bank, we have implemented a pilot project of loan processes analysis based on Process Mining technology and methodology.
Thanks to this new scope of our activities, we have been able for VÚB bank:
- create detailed views on the course of the process
- reveal its weaknesses
- identify hidden reasons of exceptions to the processes and suggest modifications leading to even greater business efficiency in loan granting.
The Central Register of Contracts
VÚB cooperates with many suppliers. That´s the reason why the bank needed a tool for systematic management and recording of all contracts resulted from their cooperation.
The Central register of contracts, based on the Microsoft SharePoint 2013 platform, has represented a perfect solution for designing, commenting, approval and archiving of contracts with suppliers.
The stress was put mostly on security of the whole system and stored information, what has been secured by division of authority into various level of access. It resulted in a solution, which is not only intuitive for users and meets all internal regulations, but also leads to more efficient administrative processes, enables maximal overview when working with contracts and last but not least saves costs on personal resources.
Credit Product Sales Management for Small and Medium Business Clients
The SMECAS application comprehensively addresses the sale of credit products for corporate segment of small and medium size clients. SMECAS manages the entire credit sale process from the arrival of the client at the bank branch, through application processing, client scoring, approving, and contractual documentation processing up to completing the loan. The application is used by all branch offices of the bank. SMECAS belongs to business crucial bank applications and our company is still working on its further development.

The SBA application addresses the sale of retail credit products for corporate Small Business clients. SBA manages the complete sales process from the arrival of the client at the bank branch through application processing, client scoring, approving, and contractual documentation processing up to completing the loan. The application is used by all branch offices of the bank. SBA belongs to business crucial bank applications and our company keeps perfecting it.

VÚB bank has been successfully providing its clients with a wide range of bank products. Because of more than 20 years of bank data history, complexity of bank applications is now very extensive. With respect to a lot of bankers preparing, administering, and selling products and managing operation of the bank, there was a need to develop a channel for mutual communication of all members of the teams as well as communication towards the clients with “the same language”, regardless of whether they work in the headquarters or in a branch network.
The Business and data dictionary based on the Microsoft SharePoint portal platform enables to manage the whole life cycle of the business terms.
The solution was implemented within 3 months.
- Implementation of Business and data dictionary has provided the bank with greater internal efficiency in product development management and deployment of products into the operation. All business terms of the bank are managed and available to employees of headquarters as well as branch network.
- Teams developing individual applications can be sure, that they use the same terminology and have an overview of responsibility of individual data stewards.
- Thanks to the solution, there is not inefficient internal communication any more. Transparent rules for business terms have been set and implementation of general information on description of data fields has made analytic work and integration of individual production environments into the bank infrastructure more efficient.
